Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian is a 2x Winter Olympic Bobsled Pilot born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, holding dual citizenship for USA and Jamaica. Her father, born and raised in Jamaica, instilled a strong Caribbean culture that linked her to her island heritage and history. After competing in the 2014 Sochi Olympics for Team USA, Jazmine moved to join the Jamaican Bobsled Federation helping to progress the Women’s team with a goal of competing in the 2018 Winter Olympics and create another monumental moment in Jamaican history. The Jamaican men’s team had laid the foundation for her, and she hoped to pave the road for the next generation.
History ultimately was written when Jazmine and her teammates (Russel and Segree) qualified for the 2018 Pyeong Chang Olympics becoming the first all-black bobsleigh women’s team to qualify, in addition to the first Caribbean woman, and specifically, the first Jamaican woman to compete in a Winter Olympics.
During the 2014-15 season, Fenlator-Victorian finished 3rd overall in the World Cup Season Rankings earning a Silver Medal on the World Cup Tour at Lake Placid races and multiple top 4 finishes. She finished 6th at the IBSF World Championships held in Winterberg, Germany. In the Sochi Olympics, Jazmine competed and placed 11th in the 2 Woman Bobsled competition with renowned track and field hurdler Lolo Jones as her brakewoman.
How did Jazmine become involved in the sport of bobsled? As a multi-record holder and top performer in track and field at Rider University where her coach encouraged her to try a bobsled camp after graduation. She made the team and began her 10+ year career in September 2007. Fenlator-Victorian has her BA in multi-media design/ minor in Advertising and 2 Master’s degrees (MS and MBA). She is also NASM certified, Track and Field Level 1 certified, and holds an honorary doctorate from Rider University for her distinguished accomplishments over the years. When not in a bobsled, she enjoys photography, cooking, coaching, surfing, spending time with family, travelling as well as being dedicated to bringing more diversity to winter sports for young girls and urban youth.
Carrie Russell
Carrie Russell is a Jamaican sprinter and bobsledder. She is from the parish of St. Thomas. She attended the St. Thomas Technical High School. She competed in the 4×100 meters relay event at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics, winning a gold medal. She was also the bronze medalist at the 2006 World Junior Championships in Athletics.
In addition to her athletics career, Russell has competed as a bobsleigh brakeman for Jamaica since the 2016-17 season. In January 2018 she was part of the Jamaican bobsleigh crew that secured qualification for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, the first time that a Jamaican women’s team competed at the Winter Olympics.

Shanwayne Stephens
Shanwayne’s sporting background predominantly comes from playing rugby which he played in high school.
He joined the British military in 2011 and started bobsleighing in 2015.
He is also a competitive shooter and has won multiple competitions and became the regiment champion in 2018.
He twice placed 6th in Park City, Utah as a part of the four-man bobsleigh in the North American Cup in the 2019/2020 season.
Shanwayne is working hard to become a member of the Jamaican team at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Rolando Reid
Rolando started his sporting journey at Munroe College for boys where he divided his time between athletics, football and field hockey. As a true Munronian, Rolando was indeed ‘a city set upon a hill cannot be hid’ as his accomplishments shone bright.

Rolando went to Morgan State University in 2012 and continue his athletic career with notable results. He also excelled academically.

Then in 2019, while teaching at Kingston College, Rolando decided to try out for the Jamaica Bobsleigh and Skeleton team. He was selected and did his first winter training in 2020 February. He is doing all he needs to, in order to make the team for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Nimroy Turgott
Nimroy grew up in St Thomas and attended the St. Thomas Technical High School between 2007 and 2011.
He first represented Jamaica at the 2011 Carifta Games where he was a member of the sprint relay team that won the gold medal.
Nimroy became a member of the Jamaica Bobsleigh and Skeleton team in 2016. In 2017, as a brakeman, he along with pilot Seldwyn Morgan were finalists in the North American Cup two-man bobsleigh event.
Unfortunately, Nimroy and Seldwyn missed out on representing Jamaica at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea by one spot in the rankings.
He is looking forward to the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China, where he intends to fly the Jamaican flag high.

Audra Segree
Audra Segree started training with Maurice Wilson during her school days at Holmwood Technical High school where her best times were 11.8 seconds for the 100m and 23.9 for the 200m. She was a 200m bronze medalist at the 2009 Boys’ and Girls’ Championship and participated in the Penn Relays from 2008 to 2017.
In 2009, she moved to G.C Foster College and during her first season as a senior athlete under Coach Wilson’s guidance, she improved her times from 11.8 seconds to 11.56 seconds in the 100m and from 23.9 seconds to 23.65 seconds in the 200m.
In 2010 Audra made three National Teams.
- She represented Jamaica at the Under 23 Championships in Miramar Florida, where she placed 5th in the 200m and copped the silver medal as a member of the sprint relay team.
- Her next representation came at the CAC Games in Puerto Rico where she placed 5th once again in the 200 meter. This time the sprint relay team finished third.
- At the Commonwealth Games in India, Audra was a semi-finalist in the 200m. This was the last time she represented her country at the senior level.
Audra next participated at the 2012 CAC Championship where was 5th in the 200m finals. Then at the 2013 CAC Championship, she placed 4th in the 200m finals.
In 2014 she was the 100m silver and 200m bronze medalist at the Pan Am Olympics.
But in 2017, Audra decided to make the switch from track and field to bobsleigh. She became a member of the Jamaica Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation and has the distinction of being a member of the first Jamaican female bobsleigh team to participate in a winter games when she went to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Audra now trains for the skeleton event and hopes to represent Jamaica at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Kemari Stewart
Kemari was an all-round athlete as a schoolboy at Bridgeport High School. He represented his school both on the track at the Boys’ Championships and on the field at the Manning’s Cup as a footballer.
During the period 2012 – 2014, he competed in the 100m, 200m and long jump at the Boys’ Championships and was a member of the football team at the Manning’s Cup in 2013.
Kemari joined the Jamaica Defense Force after graduating from high school in 2014 where he continued to play football. Then in 2016, he became a member of the Jamaica Bobsleigh & Skeleton team and has participated in the 2-man bob, 4-man bob and skeleton at the North American Cup.
He too is looking forward to making the team for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
